Day 30: A recent photo + 3 good things that have happened in the past 30 days...

Here's a comic book version of me in a flea market in NYC just 6 days ago (although it feels longer)... just to mix things up after 30 straight days of regular photographs and long posts.

This daily posting has been fun, though. It has given me a project to work on while avoiding my real, adult responsibilities for 10-15 minutes at a time over the past 30 days, while also adding some color to our blog. So, hopefully I will find some other fun ways to keep our blog up to date. I'll be working on my creative writing classes over the next few months and this blog might be a way to work on my assignments while blogging so it doesn't FEEL like schoolwork. Christmas season is quickly approaching as well, so you know there will be a lot of photos posted regardless.

Oh, so 3 good things that have happened in the past 30 days?

1 - I joined a gym and have started doing yoga again. I walk out of my classes feeling absolutely revived and it is helping a lot with my neck pain and arm/hand numbness on my left side.

2 - On a more personal note, I reconnected with my Heavenly Father through personal prayer. I always pray with the kids at mealtime and bedtime, but I cannot remember how long it has been since I said a personal prayer. Recently, I found a quiet moment at the end of a very difficult day and I poured my heart out. It's amazing how rejuvenating a good pouring out of the heart can be and how it puts everything into perspective. I started out with this "poor me" attitude and ended with an overwhelming feeling of being absolutely blessed beyond my wildest dreams.

3 - I got to go to New York with my family and spend an entire 4 day weekend with my husband for the first time in months!

I look forward to the next 30 days of this coming up holiday season! I'll keep you posted :)
